Sara is a 2nd class landlocked municipality of Iloilo province in Western Visayas Region, Philippines. The municipality has a land area of 169.02 square kilometers or 65.26 square miles which constitutes 3.38% of Iloilo’s total land area. Its population as determined by the 2020 Census was 54,637. This represented 2.66% of the total population of Iloilo province, or 0.69% of the overall population of the Western Visayas region. Based on these figures, the population density is computed at 323 inhabitants per square kilometer or 837 inhabitants per square mile. Sara is 98 kilometers (61 mi) from Iloilo City and is 89 kilometres (55 mi) from Roxas City.
